TRAVEL TO MADEIRA AND PORTO SANTO 

Mandatory PCR testing and double testing applies to resident passengers, emigrants and their families. The exception to the test applies to passengers holding a document proving full vaccination and/or recovered from COVID-19 up to 90 days.


RULE 1
When planning your trip to Madeira and Porto Santo, it is important to know the rules in force in this Region, regarding the prevention and containment of COVID-19.

RULE 2
You should register and fill out the epidemiological survey at www.madeirasafe.com.

RULE 03
All passengers on flights from abroad must have a negative PCR test for the disease COVID-19, performed within 72 hours prior to boarding, in certified laboratories.

All passengers who do not carry a PCR test, will have it done, free of charge, upon arrival at the Madeira and Porto Santo airports.

RULE 04
The following passengers coming from abroad:
- Residents in RAM;
- Emigrants and their families;
- Students attending educational establishments outside Madeira Island or in mobility programs will have to take a second test, between the fifth and the seventh day, after the first PCR test.

RULE 05
Passengers holding a vaccination certificate (document proving full vaccination) and/or proof of recovered COVID-19 up to 90 days, are now eligible for direct entry into the Autonomous Region of Madeira, without the need for testing. The mentioned documents must be submitted on the madeirsafe.com platform at the time of registration.
